I thought ... if I were a suit, what color would I be? Would I be brown? `Cuz sometimes it's nice to just fit in. Would I be black? No, that's too somber. I think if I were a suit, I'd be a pink polka-dotted bright blue suit with purple stripes! Which suit would you be?
You have nice rhythms of line and repetitive patterns going on here.
ReplyDeletesuch lovely drawing - and i love the whimsey - i'd pick out that gorgeous blue suit as well. you know i saw your previous post about being comfortable with graphite - but i must say i like your colored pencil work so much as well.

ReplyDeleteHey everyone! Your comments made my day! I had a lot of fun with this drawing. It had been so long since I've done a drawing with pronounced perspective so it was a good exercise for me. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. It means a lot to me.
ReplyDeletegreat concept and great execution. you captured just the right balance of detail and abstraction. and i love the fact that you would be not just blue, but blue with polka dots! your drawing makes me want to say 'me too'. uh-oh, then we'd all look alike again. maybe i'd better be stripes. LOL
ReplyDeleteWonderful drawing and idea Joan!
ReplyDeleteI think i would pick the brown suit to be like others for once and not my crazy old self.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteI would have to be a leopard print suit!
I love these suits - the composition and your drawing...a great interpretation of the challenge.
