Day 13 of 21: Contentment

Believe me, the concept of a DAILY drawing challenge has not been lost on me. I mean, the fact that my 13th daily drawing (of 21) is going on its 52nd day, has left me quite embarrassed, really. The intent of the drawing challenge that Gina and Alicia started way back in April was for folks to spend just 15 minutes a day drawing something ... anything! Although I have not lived up to that expectation, I can honestly say without a doubt, that I've been *thinking* about drawing at least 15 min each day!!! LOL

Tonight, I challenged myself to draw the negative and positive of my Buddha sculpture. It was challenging but totally fun.

Cool drawings - that's an excellent challenge too! Don't feel embarrassed, lots of people are taking longer. Do you feel like you are drawing more because of the exercise or does it just stress you out? Sometimes it's a fine line, and certainly the 'public' aspect of it can either be a good pressure or just add guilt. I go back and forth in how I feel when I'm behind a bit. I hope you'll keep posting new work, even if it's not daily!!!

Gina ... Thanks for your constant encouragement! I love participating in the challenge, actually. And yeah, I do feel some guilt since I've fallen behind but I've been kind of sick lately that has been leaving me pretty dizzy and haven't had the energy. I do love what others have produced so that gives me encouragement too!

Kate ... You're one source of inspiration too. Thanks!

Tina ... I'm really glad you stop by from time to time. It means a lot! :) Miss you.

Horsemedicine ... Thanks so much for your very kind words! :)

Joan, it's always a real treat to stop by your blog and see your lovely work... you shouldn't stress about anything. my understanding is that the challenge is really for *you*... your viewers just benefit from your participation =)

What a tough exercise this is!
You make me want to give the whole thing a try.
Don't beat yourself up over not doing the fifteen minutes a day challenge. I think the culprit is the blog itself. Sometimes, i pressure myself to produce something "blog-worthy", as if it was an end in itself. How perverse.
