"Daily drawings and paintings by Joan Yoshioka"
I added to my menagerie this weekend! Lily, a white Japanese Silkie Bantam chick, is just over 3 mos old and already showing off her spiffy doo! Isn't she beautiful, ... in a Solid Gold dancer kind of way?!

LOL! Looks like a Russian soldier! She totally cracks me up! Welcome to the coop, Lily!
She is a silly looking thing and does this really funny head-nod, like she's listening to music. I've been laughing ever since I got her yesterday!
This is one decidedly upper-class, chick!!
You've captured her expression wonderfully, Joan. I like the way the loose treatment of the feathers concentrates your attention on her face.
She is silly looking Joan! Hee, hee that makes her so adorable :o)
LOL--she looks like she'd fit in at Vegas. She's stylin!' Great job on this!
Thanks John! Maybe I'll tackle her in watercolor!
Alicia, she is pretty funny looking and when she walks and does that neck-bobbing thing, I can't keep a straight face!
Suzanne, definitely stylin'! She may have gone over the top with that thing on her head but she'd fit right in in Vegas!

Heather ... you gotta check out our Potluck Sunday blog ... I have the makings of a pretty spiffy coop (well, I hope it will be).
The Victorious Place ... thanks so much! Lily really is very full of herself. Plus, she's pretty adorable.

Your drawing of this beautiful dumb blonde is hilarious. Gave me a great smile and laugh as I opened your latest post. Such character in your lines.
I love silkies! My first was a white rooster I named Poodle, because that's just what he resembled. Thanks for the memory.
That quite the fluffy little chick you've got there!
You've rendered her fuzz so well. What an attitude, though.
Wonderful! And yes please, we'd love to see her in watercolour.
Your drawings are great, and I love the attention you're giving to nature.
This is a terrific sketch!
She's gorgeous!
Yeah, and you take her to the mall don't you??!!!!
