EDM Challenge #250 - Something I got for free

A few tomato seedlings came up in my worm bin after I had thrown some tomatoes out. I transplanted the little seedlings and months later, I have huge plants dripping with plump, luscious tomatoes, fertilized with my vermicompost, of course. One of the plants produced yellow tomatoes! I love when I get free stuff like this! (Transparent watercolor on Arches, cold press, 140lb.)

Delicious - the painting is great. It has a look that is really fresh and yet antique at the same time. I think it is the pattern in the background and the tones of the colours

I love the colours and the way that the pattern in the background echos the shapes made by the stalks.

I am stunned by the beautiful background design, absolutely love the green. The main focus here is of course the tomatoes, and I think they balance each other so well. Awesome composition!l

Love your tomatoes and what great luck to find them! Wish I lived somewhere warm that tomatoes were growing at this time of year!

Love the reflections that you achieved on the tomatoes! I can just tase them.

I love the background and your capture of the light. Yeah for free seeds. We have some black raspberry vines coming up in our compost.

Mmm yummy! Those look very yummy! :) Good job! I printed out the EDM challenge list--it's really good isn't it?? It's so hard sometimes to draw when you can't think of anything to do!!! :)

Who would think that socks would bring so many comments and here we go again, inspiring us all with your conservation teaching us that a little trouble can result in great rewards - even if they are tomatoes and a great painting of course.
