Mesa Panayia, Milos Island, Greece

Ok, ok, I have this thing for Greece. Whilst cleaning the extra room downstairs, I found this painting I did a number of years ago in a bin of illustration board. It's of a church on, yes, my favorite island in Greece! *Sigh* I need to make it out there again someday. *dreaming on ...* Anyone wanna go with me?

Nice painting! I like the church structure. I'm sure you will get there one day. :)

BEAUTIFUL, Joan! I'm game -- isn't Italy just across the river? LOL

I have this tiny fear of going anywhere in Europe: namely that I'll refuse to return to the US!

Awesome painting - very serene!

I would LOVE to. I'll swing by Hawaii and pick you up on the way. ;-)

Serena ... I hope next year.

Lin ... Why yes, shall we meet you in Italy and head down to Greece after that? I'll meet you on the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, high noon, on ... ?

Ryan ... LOL. I feel the same way my friend. Exactly.

Karen! ... Yay! I do believe that Hawaii is directly on the other side of the planet than Greece so swinging by on your way is the perfect plan! :)

Count me in! I really want to go to Greece too!

It is funny to think that someone in Hawaii is dreaming of other places. Ha.

Thanks Suzanne and Kate! We may have to make a party of it, dontcha think?! Wouldn't that be such a great get-together? Gosh, why didn't we think of that before?

Suzanne ... I spend my days thinking up a plan to get off this tiny rock in the middle of the Pacific!!! So I can vacation on another rock! LOL

Kate ... You are on the top of the list!

Oh Me! Me! Definitely! The closest I've ever been is Tarpon Springs - a little Greek community in Florida. Hardly counts.
Your painting is lovely. I think it's a shame it's been stuck in a drawer for so long. I'm glad you brought it out to share. I love the stark white of the church against the rich colors.

Woohoo Juj, just by you going, we've stepped it up a notch! LOL

Ahh Greece. Never been..always wanted to be there. Love the unusual angle you've portrayed. Not an easy one I'll wager. Awesome.

I had to laugh when i read what Ryan wrote!
Oh yes, i like how the white stands out. The white of the walls over there must be that striking.
Beautiful painting.
