Illustration Friday - Twist
I am presently unnerved by my inability to think creatively, abstractly, and un-joan-like. This week's Illustration Friday topic is "Twist" and it has twisted my brain to no end. How more concrete can one get than a lime twist? Oy vey. I need a drink. :)
I am going to let this sit here and perhaps create a new IF illustration later. Hmmm ... I wonder if that drink will help loosen my noggin'.

:-p
Joan, very nice. Now I want a drink. :-)
love the green on green.
very pretty!
Thanks everyone! Let's have a drink together and paint and paint and paint. That should be an interesting combination! ;)
Ohh another citrus 'twist' - nice!
beautiful colors! very fresh!!!!!
Great highlights and detail, very beautiful painting!
Well, whatever....you think you are uncreative if you want to, but 10 other people would not have rendered a lime in the same way. This is a very nice and interesting composition and I love the colors and technique. The textures of the shadows and the textures of the lime peel are different and that gives it interest. It is a mouth-watering piece, and a great example why I feature your link on my blog.
Thanks Laura, Mitzi, Tina and Kathleen! I guess I learned something today that I should have learned in Kindergarten. I need to accept the style that's me. Thanks Kathleen. :)
Oooo, very nice.. and refreshing... Love your composition and color... Hmmmm, how about a margarita? :)
Don't worry about the lack of creativity, it's there...

I really like it! I would love a drink too please ~ ;)
I love the slightly off-frame composition. Nicely done.
Although a biologist/botanist you are an excellent painter/illustrator...
A fave of mine.
Thanks Karin, kdhamel, Serena, Gillian, Vagellis and Andrea! And I was thinking this was not too good. LOL. I appreciate the feedback. Means a lot to me! :)
