Office orchid

The District Manager at the State office I work in has an awesome green thumb and he often decorates our office with the orchids he grows. They are always SO beautiful! As I stepped out of the office on Friday, I took a picture of these gorgeous flowers with my handy camera, thinking if I had time, I would paint it and post it to bring in the New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! See you next year!

Absolutely beautiful painting Joan, you coped so well with the yellows they can be a tricky colour to work with!

joan-
i keep coming back to look at this painting. it's just gorgeous — warm and sunny and cheerful. And with about 9" of snow on the ground, it's about as close as I'll get to warm, sunny and cheerful for a long time.
LOL ;-)

This is beautiful Joan. I have to agree with the others, it is the warmth I needed on this blistering cold day.
