Hey Joan, Great sketch! Hope all is well with you. By the way, this reminds me of the movie "In Her Shoes". Have you seen it? I think it's an awesome movie! =)
Hi all! Thanks for the comments. They always make my day :). Hope you all had a great Easter! And so sorry to Kate and Serena for not being able to wear heels anymore.
JC ... No, I haven't seen the movie but I saw that it was on tv this past week. Will have to rent it soon.
France ... Yes and no, everyday is my birthday in my book. LOL. I don't often buy things for myself but I DO buy shoes ... oh, and my iPod Touch.
Andrea ... Yup, their mine :). Nothing like your lovely boots but I like em. :)
Hi! I'm an outdoor-lovin' optimist, biologist/botanist, and habitual creator of art-stuff. I believe the key to our most fundamental and truest part of ourselves is found in nature and I constantly draw on it for inspiration.

Just shoot me an email at joanyoshioka(at)gmail(dot)com! The oil paintings were painted with artist grade paints on cotton canvas with sides painted black so they don't have to be framed; they hang perfectly with a little nail (not pretentious at all!). Watercolors are on Arches 140 lb. watercolor paper using artist grade paints; the art cards are sent out in a sturdy plastic art card sleeve. If you'd like the original watercolor matted, please let me know. All prints are giclee meaning they are made with archival pigment dyes and are professionally mounted on acid free foam board with acid free mats in a clear cellophane envelop. Please note that the colors in the originals may differ from your screen.
Welcome!

Oooooooh, I LOVE THEM!
I don't know how you women wear 'em, but they look good. Great drawing Joan! Hope you're feeling better.
Great drawing of some sexy shoes, Joan!
Is it an early birthday gift to yourself?
OMG! I am in love! These are so cute. I can no longer wear shoes like this because of my back. I am envious! Your drawing of them is so great!
My back is crying out in protest but I LOVE your shoes nonetheless.
Have a wonderful Easter, Joan ~ :)
Women can't really have enough shoes.
Oh wow, what a cool drawing! Love the shoes Jo! :)
Oh these are to die for!! What an awesome job you did!! I LOVE your work, Joan -- your linework and shading takes my breath!
Hehehe! So cool. Are they yours???
