"Daily drawings and paintings by Joan Yoshioka"
I just completed a quick painting of my cat on my quite messy bed. Mamo, which means yellow in Hawaiian, has yellow eyes. She's the one that sleeps on my pillow when I'm at work.

Beautiful painting, and we know is in charge of her kingdom.
Wow! This is simply awesome. I love the composition.
Well I care not whether you make your bed or not, because I certainly don't make mine, but i do care that you've made such a beautiful job of painting it.
Beautiful. Apart from the cat, which is also lovely, I love how you captured the light in this painting. Great work!
this is very nice, it has a dreamy effect about it (no pun intended)
awesome...completely fantastic.
Gorgeous. My cat actually tries to sleep on my pillow when my head is on it! lovely lighting.
I love the colours and the relaxed mood you have captured....beautiful work!
Thanks everyone for your comments. I really appreciate your support as I figure out this watercolor medium. You all make me want to paint more! Mahalo Nui Loa (Thanks, big time!)
This is lovely, I also think your graphite work is awesome.
Yay! It's our kitty:) What an awesome job you've done. You sure are getting good at this painting thing.
Quick?! This is SO lovely!
Thanks Penny, Gina, and Mariana!
Penny - I bounce around different media ... it keeps it interesting :)
Gina - Yep, Mamo misses ya. She says Hi.
M - Yup, I think I started about 8:30 pm and finished about 10:00 pm, while watching TV! Watercolor is fantastic that way! It would have taken me 4 times as long in pencil.
Aunty Joe, you make the BEST artwork EVER!!!!!!!!! i dont blame you if you dont make your bed...i certaintly dont. love you!
just lovely
Hi Chelsie! Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my blog! Did you know your dad is pretty creative himself? He used to draw so much more than I when we were younger. Get him to draw you Daffy Duck! Then you'll know what I mean. Love you!
Thanks Tracy! :)
hes drawn it for me. i laughed. me, i just am creative in writing, but you should keep drawing, cuz ur really good.
So beautiful! Great job. Love the whole package.
Thanks Chelsie! I've seen your Dad's paintings. Tell him he needs to post his as well.
Thanks P-Blu. I'm learning to be a bit looser with my watercolors. It's a good exercise for me.
