Everyday Matters Challenge #19 - Something I've made
Can you believe it? I am trying my hand at knitting! It's a rather awkward endeavor since I'm just a beginner but it's another creative outlet that I'm enjoying. I drew my progress thus far. I won't tell you what it is yet ... I'll surprise you when I'm done. But don't hold your breath, I hope to finish it before Christmas. :)

Oh, this is so cool! I love it! Kudos to you for taking up something new...I hope you enjoy knitting.
Great drawing! - kate :)
Yes, Great drawing! I used to knit too ... and read and do normal things, until I started drawing and the business sigh :)
Hey Kate - Yep, but art will always be my first love :).
Mariana - I hope you'll get to do the other things you used to do after you set up the businesses. It's always a toss up between making a living and the fun stuff. Here, we say, "fish or cut bait." It doesn't make a whole lot of sense but that's what we say. haha.
Your work's incredible. Love looking around here Joan!
Knitting was a great love of my Grandmother. I'd sit and watch her in the lounge room for hours.
It is very good for the mind. You may find that knitting will consume you or you will toss it aside. The knitting drawing is lovely in the blue pen also. How long have you been doing the Everyday Matters Challenge?
Look forward to seeing more works of art.
Nice drawing! I can never juggle more that two or maybe three interests. good luck!
Thanks for stopping by Steve!
Kym - Good point ... I'll see where this goes :). I've been doing EDM challenges for a few months now and have submitted 27 so far. :)
Brian - Yes, I tend to fill my days with too many things!
Great sketch, enjoy knitting!
Ronell
Wow! I crochet while I watch Cleveland Indians' games and I've thought a time or two of drawing my yarn. I always chicken out.
This is just incredible!
Thanks Ronell! Do you knit too?
Hi Karen! Well, this was just a quickie and didn't think too much about it. I think if I did, I woulda chickened out too! :)
This is simply amazing.
My old art professor always said of all the choices out there spaghetti is the hardest to draw. I always said it's yarn, yet you make it look easy. I've a feeling you'd handle spaghetti the same.
Excellent drawing, Joan! WTG on taking up knitting. I haven't knitted or crocheted in a very long time....sigh ~ Apart from knitted woollens for myself, every time I was pregnant, I would knit lots of baby woollens for the new addition.
This is AWESOME!!
