"Daily drawings and paintings by Joan Yoshioka"
As I was driving home from a dinner party last night, an image of a parachuting corn-shaped "person" with red shoes and a really fat bird popped into my head. I dunno if artists have spontaneous, strange thoughts like that but I did. I added a couple of other flying friends for company.

Joan... what DID you have for dinner?!
Hahahahaha! I know, isn't that the funniest thing Ryan?
Doesn't everybody have an image of a parachuting corn-shaped "person" with red shoes and a really fat bird pop in their heads from time to time?
hahahaha...too funny...I often have visions in my head and try to turn it into something later...most times I forget what I was thinking....
this is very cute and I love that corn like character...
I'm having so much fun visiting all of the blogs of the 21 day challenge. I just did my own (every day in April) so I am pooped, but it's great to see everyone's sketching and art styles!
PS what the...hilarious!
I have these all the time (not of red-shoed corn people... yet). Mostly just before I go to sleep (I guess because my brain is still active, but least distracted)
This is a really fun illo. Keep'em coming. Nothing weird about'em!
I do!! I do!!! I'm so happy you do have thoughts like this and I'm not the only one :o)
This is very cute and creative! Looove it :o)
haha, smiling is my first impression on this illo. I just drew a illo with a rabbit frying high with balloons.
Your drawing is great, love the color pencil.
That's one of the things that's great about art, creating all these worlds and characters and feelings!
The bunny is priceless!
Cool illustration! I get those images stuck in my head too. And stories, little snippets of songs. Wierd. Welcome to the creative challenge!
LOLLL!!!! I would really like to know what kind of wine you had with dinner. Was it red or white?
Thanks for your wonderful comments everyone and especially thanks for the encouragement. I forgot how much FUN it is to draw ... and not take things so seriously!
Kate ... I didn't drink at all! Scary, isn't it?
Hey Joan, these are fun...I love them! I think it's great to take something and change it's "normal" place in the world. Makes you think differently, then makes you smile. These definitely make me smile!
I do too! does it mean we are not so weird or that we are all extremely freakish ?
