An incomplete study

This is my early-morning-just-outta-bed study. I exaggerated the darks a bit here, knowing full well that darks are not so dark on white. It's not quite complete but since it will be awhile before I'll get to it, decided to post it as is. Comments and critiques are very welcome!

Lovely fluidity...well done, Joan. :) I find drawing fabric the most difficult.

To me, the darks make it "pop" all the more -- it's that very exaggeration that adds to the 3-dimension-ality (hahah! Making up words!) of the drawing. I would leave it just like that. Like an unmade bed that someone's too rushed to tend to before going to work in the morning.

Another fabulous drawing, Joan!

No...I really like the contrast. It makes it believable, and I think art has a tendency to look flat on a computer screen. This looks very nice.

Thank Bev ... yes, I find fabric difficult too. I suspect I'll do many more studies of my comforter. My bed things are all white so they make a nice still life :)

France ... hehe, that is EXACTLY what it is! Too rushed as I headed off to work! Thanks for the feedback.

Serena ... thanks! means a lot to me? Finished getting the house in order?

Kate ... Thanks for the tip! I'll leave it as is. Thanks all!

Great drawing Joan - gives a great sense of the fabric and it's not over worked.
