Mornings

Some mornings, it is enough to sit on the front porch with the pooch and a cup of strong hot coffee, watching the clouds float by.

great angle on the dog! I was going to ask you if it was a Moleskine page until I saw the tags. Do you like the smoothness of the Moleskine? How do you sketch a dog so quickly?!

Great angle and drawing. I agree. Over the summer, I got to sit some mornings on my porch and sip some tea while watching the squirrels run, jump, play and chase eachother in a tree in front of my apartment. I thought, this is the best entertainment I've seen in ages.

France ... Thanks! I've only recently tried Moleskine but am loving how it takes pencil, which is much better than most papers I've tried. Pen, excellent ... watercolor washes, so-so. All in all, I love. Kanoe loves to hang out with me so she stays in one place once she plops herself down. She's an excellent model.

Steve ... Hey guy, thanks for stopping by. Yes, I totally agree! We don't have squirrels but lots and lots of birds to watch!

Kate ... Thanks, I will tell Kanoe you said that. :)

You do have the ability to transport your visitors into your life, Joan. Now my dogs want to meet your dog!

Sorry about the previous comment....I made a boo boo ~

I like your way of thinking though make my beverage a green tea. ;) Great sketch of Kanoe.....I will try do one of Cody and post it too. He follows me around everywhere. If I walk out of one room into another, even for a minute or two, he follows. Like Kanoe, he rests near me all the time, usually under my chair and close to my feet. :)
