Chicago waterfront

Chicago is gorgeous in September! I had some time to myself so I stationed myself at the end of a walkway, sat with some gulls, and drew for a bit in my moleskine. I added the color after I got home. Looking at this drawing, I can practically smell the ocean, er, uhmm, Lake (heh heh, thanks Kate), and the sound of the waves lapping the sides of the boats and gulls flying about. :)

Joan this is something I am not used to seeing coming out of your pen. This is so good -- down to the seagull in the foreground.

Wow...you've captured your vacation so well. Isn't Chicago one of the best places ever?

Thanks Kate, I had such a fun time exploring with you and have these wonderful reminders of a very fun trip!

Alicia ... Thanks so much! Thanks for following too! :)

Francie ... LOL. Thought I'd try something a little different. I have to admit I added the gull after I got home ... it was missing something and I wanted to remember the gull that hung out while I drew.

Suzanne ... Chicago is! I am seriously thinking I'd love to live there! (I love your new last name!)

i love this kind of perspective where the vp is in the center of the page. It really draws one in to the location.
