"Daily drawings and paintings by Joan Yoshioka"
I was able to capture Sunshine's sweet repose with this quick sketch as she lay at Kate's feet while Kate worked on her latest illustration project late one night.

Yep, that's my little miss Sunshine! Sweet sketch, Jo! Miss you!
Awww look at sunshine, this is such a lovely sketch!
I think what you guys did is really wonderful. Two artist buddies together hanging out and painting.. what could be better than that? :o)
Hehe, thanks Kate. Miss you too!
Thanks Alicia! There is really nothing better than to draw with someone I admire so much. Plus, it was fun! :)
You two got some great photos and it sounds like you did have a lot of fun--good for you! Sunshine really IS smiling in this sketch--beautiful! How sweet. Two talented people enjoying creating together--life is good!
Ah, that's so lovey Jo. I love animal smiles.
Yub, this is sweet Sunshine, I saw her on Kate blog before! She always looks so gentle, like her smile!
So, so cute! I am so happy to hear you had a great time with Kate. What fun.
Thanks everyone! I'm glad I got to meet Sunshine, who is such a great dog and so smart! She TOTALLY understands what we say! I'm glad I have a drawing to remind me of her.
I'm a great admirer of your art work. Your drawings are awesome. This drawing of your dog is really good.
