Hi Joan! It's great getting caught up here with your work - wow, it's all very stunning. I thought I'd follow you via Flickr, but it looks like I've missed out some. Have you thought of making and selling prints of your art? It's truly exceptional.

ps, I see you've got spam sent to your blog. I was having some issues with that, so I changed my settings to comment moderation. That way you can view any comments first before posting. You can even post from your e-mail.

Really well done! Instantly recognizable but with your own stamp on it, too!

Been very busy of late and not trolled my favourite blogs for days. Thought Id add my comments on your last three posts together, in case you miss my admiration for your work and the magazine article. Lincoln is wonderful with great washes and tones; sorry you lost your lovely cat but the sketch is a great reminder. I havent dared try to sketch my two yet. As for being approached for the article, its so great when your work is recognised in this way - such a boost to ones confidence.

What a great quote.
I love what you do with watercolor -- you not only get your values right, but you've got a nice resemblance going on.

Thanks Kate, I think this one took a little longer than I planned. Those dang folds got me! lol

Hey Steve ... you honor me with your suggestion to sell prints. Perhaps someday. And thanks for your suggestion for comment moderation. I may consider it soon.

A brush with color ... Thanks. I have trouble with people so I have to force myself to do portraits. Thankfully, I chose an easily recognizable face!

Joan ... (the other Joan) heehee, thanks for your comments on my posts. They are all very, very sweet.

Sylvia ... thanks so much. I appreciate the visit!

France ... Hey gurl, I am so intimidated by your portraitures that I literally have to force myself to do these. LOL. It is your awesome skills that encourage me to do better. : )
