"Daily drawings and paintings by Joan Yoshioka"
This doodle ended up being one whacky owl. I was thinking of a friend, a self-avowed night owl who is desperately trying to be an early bird. Hang in there girl!

Joan, you've done so much recently and been so creative that I can't keep up and yet I want to see more and more of your work! As you can imagine I empathize with this wonderful drawing completely ... hmmm perhaps I should now go to bed!
Ha ha ha....yep, that would be ME! For some reason, the world has yet to get with my program, so I guess I will have to get with theirs. These early mornings are killing me....Thank God tomorrow is Saturday. I plan on sleeping in!!!
Cute and artistic owl, Joan! I did not realize you had so many new posts this week...
How funny to get comments from the two women night owls that I know. LOL. Maybe the rest of us will get with your program someday but something tells me that no one will think staying up til 4:00am in the morning is something that they would like to do. :) Get to bed you two!
how cute! such a lot of personality in that wee owl.
and on being a former night owl - i still stay up way too late - but its summertime. come monday i'll be back to 530am. there was a time i couldn't have stood to even think about getting up at that hour. now i love the quiet with no interruptions :-)
Oh, what a really cute owl!! No night owl here....I definitely belong to the early bird group. ;)
Love the owl - my favourite bird. I am definetley a night owl. Love the peace when everyone else has gone to bed. The drawings you have been posting recently are amazing Joan. I love checking in to see what you have been up to. Totally inspiring.
Ack! I'm a morning person but I've turned into a nightowl lately. I'm going to be hurtin' in the morning! Thanks for your comments everyone!
Wow, your blog is just wonderful! You have so much patience with such a small pen. I love the line quality and the color you add. Great work!!!
