"Daily drawings and paintings by Joan Yoshioka"
After using my Micropen 01 on Bristol paper, I tested some watercolors on it. Had to use dry-on-dry and wet-on-dry techniques but the paper held. Any more water and I would have ended up with mush!
This is the kind of fun, distracting, no pressure, mindless 4th of July painting projects I like.

Wow...this reminds me of a fun sheet of stickers I would have loved as a child! These are great! Hey, I see your pooch in there!
This looks SO much fun! I'm 'into' the stressless drawing mode at the moment too -- brains addled from too much to do during days that have far too few hours!
Joan these little characters are wonderful and just come alive in full colour...What a fantastic imagination you have!
Hi Kathleen - I know what you mean, I loved those stickers as a kid! Maybe that's the appeal ... and the inspiration. Kanoe's my angel ... NOT!! LOL
Hey Mariana - I've been enjoying your "stressless" drawings too. Love em. It is really amazing what the mind conjures up when leaving it to its own devices. Television will do that.
Thanks Anita - It was a freeflow of ideas ... inspired by things around me or just from somewhere deep. LOL.
i've been otherwise occupied and decided i must come back and see what you've been up to - what a fun surprise - all soooo FUN, creative and colorful. i never know what to expect now - you have such a wonderful range - can't wait to see what you come up with next
Hi Tracy! Aw, I just get bored easily. I'm still trying to figure out my style ... which may be no style at all! Thanks for your comments; I look forward to them. :)
Hello Joan,
Just enjoyed your drawings , and super range of subject matter. As we have similar blog names , you might like to see my drawings from nature. I am in the UK.
Hi Milly, Wow, your feather drawings are incredible. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'll be back!
